About Robert and Mary Jane Smith
Robert A. Smith began his career in the medical industry in 1965, and currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wy’East Medical Corporation in Clackamas, Oregon. Along with his work within the foundation, Robert has served on the Providence Milwaukie Hospital Foundation Board and as the President of the Milwaukie Rotary Club.
In addition to raising three children — Terri, Steven, and Shelley — Mary Jane Smith’s professional experience consists of work in the finance industry, as well as extensive volunteer work in schools, with Providence Milwaukie Hospital, and with organizations such as the Festival of Trees in Portland, Oregon. A graduate of Multnomah College, Mary Jane was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, a service-oriented sorority for women studying and working in business fields.
Robert and Mary Jane initially chartered their foundation in 2017, following lifelong support of organizations within their community. Their foundation aims to foster the support and growth of smaller nonprofit organizations, specifically those which specialize in the education of young people, medical research, cultural and faith-based enrichment, and humanitarian efforts.
